Privacy Policy
Effective 09/19/2026
Black Robe Solutions, LLC (“we”, “us”) makes JudgeCalc. This policy explains what information JudgeCalc collects, what we do with it, and who else sees it. It covers the free calculator on judgecalc.com and JudgeCalc Pro, the subscription product for law firms.
The free calculator
The free calculator does its arithmetic in your browser. The dates you enter are not sent to us and are not stored; closing the page discards them.
We count visits to judgecalc.com with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which records page views without cookies and without identifying you. The page also loads a calendar library from jsDelivr, a public content network, which sees the request the way any website does.
JudgeCalc Pro: what we collect
- Your account: your name, email address, and, if you give them, your phone number and job title. Your password is stored only as a one-way hash; we cannot read it.
- Your firm’s work: the firms, offices, people, clients, matters, courts, deadlines, calendars and settings you and your colleagues enter. This is your firm’s information. We keep it to run JudgeCalc for you and for no other purpose.
- Payment: Stripe, our payment processor, collects and holds card details. We never receive a card number. From Stripe we keep only the card’s brand, last four digits and expiration date, so we can tell you before it expires.
- Support requests: what you write to us, and any screenshots you attach.
- Technical records: a sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in, and server records of requests, including IP addresses, which we use to keep the service running and secure.
How we use it
To run JudgeCalc: to calculate and remind you of deadlines, to send the emails you have asked for or that concern your account, to bill your firm, to answer support requests, and to keep the service secure. We do not sell your information, we do not show advertising, and we do not use your firm’s matters or clients for anything but providing JudgeCalc to your firm.
Who else sees it
Only the companies we use to provide JudgeCalc, and only what each needs:
- Stripe processes payments.
- Resend delivers JudgeCalc’s emails.
- Cloudflare serves judgecalc.com, handles its email forwarding, and counts visits.
- Our hosting provider stores JudgeCalc Pro’s data on our behalf.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, such as in response to a subpoena, and would notify the affected firm where the law allows. If the business is sold, this policy continues to apply to information collected under it.
Keeping it safe
Connections to JudgeCalc are encrypted. Passwords, and the links we email to reset a password or accept an invitation, are stored only in a form that cannot be read back. Inside a firm, each person sees only what the firm’s settings allow. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise that none will ever be breached; if one is, we will tell affected firms promptly.
How long we keep it
We keep your firm’s information while its subscription is active. When a firm leaves, it may ask us to export its information or to delete it, and we will do either within 30 days of the request and confirm it in writing. Invoices and payment records are kept for seven years for tax purposes; they contain no matter or client information.
Your choices
You can see and correct your own account details in User Settings. Your firm’s administrators manage the firm’s information. To ask for a copy of your information, or for it to be deleted, write to [email protected].
Children
JudgeCalc is for professionals and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will post the new version here with a new effective date and tell JudgeCalc Pro customers by email before it takes effect.
